Single Cell Plasma Properties Setup

When a Single Cell calculation is specified in the Simulation Type setup widget, the properties of the cell are entered in the Plasma setup widget.

For this single volume element calculation, enter:

• Plasma temperature
• Ion Temperature (if T(ion)<>T(electron) was chosen in Simulation Type
• Mass density
• Areal mass (= density * thickness)

SPECT3D computes properties for a planar single volume element plasma with the specified conditions.

The minimum areal mass used in the calculation is 10^-20 g/cm².

NOTE: Displaying results for Single Cell calculations is somewhat limited (e.g., when displaying Drilldown data). An alternative approach is to generate a plasma grid containing a single volume element using PlasmaGEN for a specific geometry. When doing this, it is possible to display a broader range of results.
